P0446 Chevrolet -will this prevent me from refueling my 2011 silverado

tried filling my truck today but wouldn't pump went to 3 stations then put scanner on and got code p0446

P0446 Evaporative emission (EVAP) vent system performance

Yes this can if there is a blockage or a pinched vent hose this will cause a poor filling condition.Check the hose connection for this code condition and the vent valve

Number 2 in the diagram is the vent valve

 

Here is a 2014 silverado there was no code present for any vent valve. but had trouble filling the fuel tank , The moment the fuel was pump the pump would shut off. further inspection was needed and agreed to have the fuel filler hose removed and inspected since this is a new vehicle

 When the first part of the filler hose was removed we found these little pellets there was so much that it block the ability to fill the tank.Since the vehicle is new and this material is unknown we called it diamonds researching is being done to determine its orgins
