2010 Nissan Versa Hatchback 1.8L with engine code P1421

Question

I have a 2010 Nissan Versa showing code p1421. Is the service bulletin for that model also, or do I need to try changing the air filter. I just replaced the air filter less than 8,000 miles ago.

This issues probable causes are a lack of intake air volume or the fuel injectors and a possible issue with the ECM. I would start by checking the air filter. simple as it is if it's plugged or dirty it is going to slow the flow of intake air and cause this problem. You may also need to do a relearn procedure on the throttle body. In most cases, a new ECM is not required.
