2001 nissan altima getting ground to the coil both sides

Getting ground in both sides of the coil power instead of positive car won't start

HI there,

This normally indicates either an issue with the distributor itself or with the ignition switch. Also, check the fusible links under the hood. They provide power to the ignition switch. Since the coil is part of the distributor on this model it's quite possible there is a problem with the distributor itself.
