Despite replacing transmission filter and fluid, transmission continues to "slip", mostly when under load.
I tested the solenoids at the connector plug only, and all checked out okay. I'm wondering if I need to remove the valve body cover and test solenoids directly or if solenoids can still be physically malfunctioning, even if ohms check fine.

With a OHM meter , this is a static test that is being perfromed. so yes  it can pass the OHM test but fail under pressure , and load, Hows the reverse on the transmission,? it usually the reverse solenoid that fails and affects the other solenoid in its pack.
