p0014 code chevrolet malibu 2012

Question

my car was indicating 1% oil change needed then check engine light came on. Then I took car to dealer for oil change they want to charge me $ 79.00 for reading the code. I ask for oil change only. Took car to Pepboys. They read the code for free. Results P0014. If this was the result of dirty/low oil how can I reset it. Or do I need to do something else?

Regardless of oil maintance. this is a popular component that fails, You should buy a dozen of both the intake and exhaust camshaft solenoid. And make replacing these solenoids a hobby.When you have this code just replace the camshaft solenoid there is one for the exhaust side and one for the intake side, it recommended you replace both solenoid.
