two codes came up on my daughter 2004 nissan sentra that has 188,000 miles on it. The first code is P1148 and it came up twice. The second code is P1031 and it came up once. What parts will we need to buy and is it fairly easy to repair and what are the avaerage cost for the parts.

Hi there,

Both codes point to a problem with the front O2 sensor on the car. The 1031 indicates an issue with the sensor heater itself and the 1148 means the car is not achiving closed loop operation because of it. You should be able to replace the front sensor to resolve the problem. This is the one you can see in the exhaust manifold.
