Last week we were driving and the car suddenly stopped responding to the gas pedal. We had to put it in neutral and back down the hill we were on into a driveway. It would not start again after that. We got the P0720 code- output shaft speed sensor circuit. Is this something we can fix easily? THe one garage we have called is saying he can only replace the entire transmission and can't fix the problem alone.

Hi there,

This is not true, both of the speed sensors for the transmission are external and can be replaced without replacing the entire transmission. IF the problem is the sensor only and not a internal issue.
