P0500 Nissan - Vehicle Speed Sensor A

Question

I have a 1997 Maxima SE. I got the P0500: Vehicle Speed Sensor A...The speed sensor that goes into my trans is 2 months old. So what can the problem be?

Hi there,

You can also have a problem with  the wiring for the sensor or if the instrument cluster isn't working right, it will send no speed signal to the computer and cause the code.
