e2100- buick, cant find the code

i have an 05 lacrross that my wife and i just bought from a used car lot. a week later the check engine light came on and told me the e2100 code. do u know what that is and the cause

There is no e2100 the code would  start with a "P": which represent the powertrain codes , "B" this would represent  Body control. "U" would be communication codes and "C" codes this would be for the ABS system. unless your scan tool is giving what looks like a "E" is really a "P" code such as P2100 which would represent the throttle actuator control circuit
