2010 dodge journey is reading a code p0406 what do you think needs to be replace.

P0406 EGR position sensor circuit high'

Can just just a poor connection to the EGR, any circuit high code condition are disconnection , what happed is the ECM gives power and expects to see a voltage drop. when it does not see a voltage drop it knowns the circuit to that component is open or disconnected, Two scenerio the EGR is internally failed. or its poorly connected at the harness or a open along its connection.
