advise for 1996 Ford Thunderbird

Question

Got a used 1996 Thunderbird, check engine light came on Saturday night, turned off Sunday afternoon, back on Monday morning, replaced gas cap, got oil change, and transmission fuel changed, still on, states P1443 purge flow. I see a good amount of Ford vehicles with same diagnostic trouble code, but not much information for my year & model, can't get it smogged with the light on.
