What does the engine code P0301 means on my 2004 Cadillac SRX 6 Cyl?

This code is for a code is for a cylinder #1 misfire. Normally this is caused by a bad spark plug or plug wire. Sometimes a bad ignition coil will cause it as well. Sometimes with the engine running you can spray some water on the wires and if the engine runs rougher or you see sparks arcing it will show the problem
