P1259 Honda -

I had this code turn on , I changed the oil I have a 99 Honda Accord, we put the valvoline high mileage 20-50 I drove it , it was running good but then it turn off , it dint want to start but when it did it started shaking the whole engine,

P1259 VTEC system malfunction

You can also be having a ignition misfire with this code condition. What the VTEC system does is switch the cam lift between high and low and monitor the oil pressure in the VTEC system , clear the code, Start the engine Hold the RPM at 3000 with no load (in Park or Neutral) intil the radiator fan comes on. let idle . Check for code condition, usually P1259 is set due to a misfire condition, from the ignition system,P1259 does not set a rough idle if you have P1259 the oil pressure and the VTC solenoid would need to be replaced.which is right near the oil filter.At this particular year putting 20-50 may just be a coincidence
