The RPM sensor is a CKP (crank position sensor) without this signal the vehicle will just stall out, but not at stop light just anytime. The idle quality should also be noted, if its low and slightly rough check the PCV hose and its connection which runs under the intake manifold right near the oil dipstick.these PCV hoses if deteriate will just crack apart and can stall the engine when coming to a stop.
