P0057 Subaru - how do I test the circuit, both from the engine & the sensor itself?

2004 Outback, getting code P0057. How do I test the circuit to see if voltage is coming from the engine? Also, I need to test the sensor to see if the heater circuit is complete & with the correct resistance. Where do I put the tester leads on the plugs?

Vehicle: 2004, Subaru Outback 2.5
