2010 Linc MKZ showing a code PO442. No fuel cap on this model/can't trace code by car make.

Question

This car model has no fuel cap, so that option is out. I can't specifically trace this code to anything Lincoln. Since there is no fuel cap on this model, what are my other options to consider?

P0442 Evaporative emission leak detected( small leak)

The fuel capless system has a tendency for the spring loaded flapper to stick, causing EVAP code condition, This is a Extended Emission Warranty. Here is a brochure that should of came with the vehicle.
