Hi, I hve the error code P0106 on my car and I have take it to the mechanic sevaral times but the engine light still turns on, the mechanic said that they have to upgrade the version of the computer in order to fix the issue, is this true?

Yes this is true. VW produced a buelletin  TSB # 01 13 25 , this is for P0106 ,this is a software update,
