P0101 Toyota -

Question

I have a 08 Toyota corolla and my engine light came on. We cleaned the battery post because they were really corroded and light went off. light came back on after a couple of days and codes came up as po101 and po171. Can the battery still be causing these codes? its middle of Jan and temps have been really cold this year/ Battery is original 8 years old and I noticed the car has been turning over longer to start.

those codes have nothing to do with the battery. P0101 and P0171 could be related to an intake leak, or try to clean the mass air flow sensor with mass air flow sensor cleaner.
