P0171 and P0101

P0101 MAF (mass airflow) circuit / range performance

P0171 Fuel trim too lean

Check the tube of the MAF air flow this is where the airfilter connects to the thottle body. any leak here will cause the MAF to code. The MAF needs to monitor the exact amount of air entering into the engine for proper performance.If it gets past the MAF without being accounted for you get a lean condition (P0171)
