P1516 Chevrolet - changed throttle body truck still shutting off.

Question

We've changed the throttle body, checked the peddle sensor and checkes the wiring. Truck is still shutting down with error code p1516. the truck is a Chevy Silverado 5.3.

P1516 does not shut down the vehicle it can make go into limp mode and you will get a P2135, Check the fuse in the engine fuse box, listed as ETC / ECM which is a 15 amp fuse. ,

If you replaced the ETC you need to do a idle speed relearn. P1516 are mainly poor connection with the throttle body.

Here is a P1516 and a zip tie was used to secure the connection which solved the problem.
