My 2004 ford explorer 4.0 check engine light is on.

It blinks consistantly (at least 60 times). It feels like there is no power. There's plenty of coolant, oil looks good, and no white smoke. Found a nest in the air filter but when detached it doesn't improve.

When ever the CK ENG LT flashes it is ignition related, if this was a fuel injector not hooked up it would code a injector code and a misfire code and there would be flashing CK ENG LT. The CK ENG LT only flashes when it is only ignition related. So you may have to do a full tune up .
