The MIL is on once again after resetting twice. Same codes were given P0101 both times. Before the second reset, I replaced my K&L air filter (dirty but not horrible) with a paper filter to see if that could be the problem. Several hundred miles later, the light is on once again.

2013 Infiniti JX35 base model, pushing 70,000 highway miles

UPDATE 01.30.15***

After cleaning the entire air box, using the MAF cleaner spray on the MAF sensor, and resetting the light things were glorious. Highway mileage jumped to ~24-25 mpg. Giddy up!!!

800 miles later, the MIL is back on and performance has noticeably diminished over those miles. Owners manual suggests MIL may be due to loose gas cap but it only takes one click so not thinking that is the issue. Thinking that the MAF sensor is the issue since performance was enhanced and now is back to square one. I did NOT reinstall the K&N air filter, still running NAPA paper air filter

Any and all help would be welcomed.

The problem is with the K&N oil filter, its possible the oil went through the filter and is stuck on the mass air flow sensor you can try to clean it with Mass air flow sensor cleaner. If the problem is still there the wiring will have to be checked just to make sure or the mass air flow sensors. Hopefully cleaning it helps

at this point I think the mass air flow sensor is going to be bad.
