my care is idling funny does this mean my car is out of oil and where is it located on my nissan pathfinder 4.6engeine

Dirty oil or low oil can set this code on, if you have not replaced the oil in the last 4,000 miles replace the oil and oil filter 

do you mean 5.6 Liter engine? if so it is on the driver side 

you can also remove it and clean it with brake cleaner only.
