Dodge Caliber SXT CVT 2.0L with gear stuck on solenoid B, what could be the cause?

the solenoid is in the transmissions valve body which will get stuck or malfuntion due to lack of service most of the time, not replacing the dirty transmission fluid every 30k miles is the most common cause of solenoids be stuck or going bad.

there is a slim chance that just replacing the fluid will fix it, I have seen it work a few times.
