Would a p 1495 prevent the alternator from charging the battery?

Question

I have replace the alternator and the battery but still have low voltage (12.5) Codes read p1495 LDP SHORT but I cannot find a short anywhere would this prevent the alternator from charging the battery?

P1495 Leak detection pump solenoid circuit

Yes it can , it affect the generator field circuit. whcih is control by the ECM for the charging system.
