I have taken the car to the dealership and they cleaned the fuel injectors. That worked for two weeks and check engine light came on again. I took it back they checked and said I'm using bad gas. Try using other gas stations. 1 month later and light came on most recently as my car was idling outside a friends place. I'd like to know what other folks think about this problem? The car does not seem to run any different, although gas mileage is not that great. I also tried to top up 1/2 a tank with 93 grade gas for higher octane to give the overall gas better octane.

P2187 Fuel trim lean

This code is fuel trim lean at idle. Some of the causes for this is ,air leakage or vacuum leaks , sticking PCV valve, fuel injectors, or improper fuel pressure, Kia does recommend a fuel injector cleaner added to the fuel due to low grade fuel treated during interval when oil change are perfromed, but cause of this code condition would not turn CK ENG LT for P2187. Check for vacuum leaks , change the PCV valve, and have the fuel pressure checked.
