P0072 - code on a volvo 2004 could is be ambient air temperature sensor ?

autozone code reader said a p0072 is the ambient sensor, but i was told said that it could be something else causing the problem , is this true ?

P0072 outer temperature sensor signal too low

In a way this is a ambient temperture sensor , but this is reffering to is the outside temperature sensor, which is located in the sensor door mirror.
