When you get a catalytic converter code like P0430 combined with hesitation, how bad is the problem? I see some of your posts indicate P0430 won't cause driveability problems, but I commute 39 miles one way to my job and any kind of hesitation is of concern to me. However, I've spent thousands on repairs, etc over the last 2 yrs+ yrs on engine light issues on this car (plus tons on other issues like control arms, wheel bearings, etc), and I can't afford ANY repairs - especially ones of this magnitude. The car just passed inspection a month ago.
I bought it in 2009 or 2010 with 65K miles on it. I have since had to have this work done for engine light issues: mass air flow sensor replaced Apr 2012 May 2012 2Y060 sensor replaced November 30 2013 I replaced O2 sensors before and after (upper) with gaskets, plus the Rt side Catalyc converter, along with emissions shutoff valve. March 2014 I replaced coil6 (twice) before replacing all 6 in April (and put a new Nissan gas cap on). In May 2014 I replaced R&R bypass cut valve for evap leak.
The prior owner had receipts for these engine light issues: Nov 2006 Ox sensor 226A1-4L715, reprogrammed ECM, Heated Ox sensor 226A0-4L713 Jan 2007 front O2 sensor Heated Ox sensor 22690-2Y921
