misfiring intern

Question

Engine started misfiring intermittently after 4 mths of trouble free running following replacement of coil pack, leads and sparkplugs. Now symptoms are intermittent misfires after a few minutes from start when cold, then clears after 10 to 20 minutes running. Latest VAG codes show P1394 1st entry then P302. P204, P306.
The P1394 code points me to another coil pack (Ignition coil power output stage 2 electrical malfunction) replacement.
Once the misfires have cleared engine is fine until next cold start cycle.
Am I right to replace yet again the coil pack or has anyone got further insight into the cause.

P1394 Ignition output 2 electrical malfunction in circuit

This is the output stage it usually occurs when the engine is warmed and begins to misfire , because it misfire cold before a warm up check the connection for the powerstage, other than that this is the powerstage problem
