Am getting code p0340, what is the promblem with car. Keeps shutting off.

Hi there,

This code is for the cam position sensor. It's losing signal and causing the car to shut down. In most cases the sensor needs to be replaced to resolve the problem. There is also a recall on the car for the cam and crank position sensors. Contact the dealer to make sure the recall has been done to the car.
