p0446 2000 cadi sls tired of wasting time

Question

Need smog asap ive cleared all the codes exept p0446 should i replace sensor or should i bother blowing out vacume lines or how should i proceed. I just dont have any time to waste i wanna do everything at once

P0446 Evaporative vent control circuit mslfunction

Is this the only code condition ? There is no P0449 ? The reason is that a FTP (fuel tank pressure ) sensor reads faulty and sets a P0446, when there is absolutly noting wrong with the vent control solenoid, If you want a absolute repair for the EVAP code P0446 it either the vent control solenoid or the FTP sensor, if there is a P0449 this becomes a whole different approach. The fuel tank pressure sensor is on the fuel pmp module , just access the fuel pump which is easily access by going into the trunk.

 

There the FTP is twisted off and installed.making sure to lubricate the o-ring FTP seal. and the vent solenoid which is located in the same area
