P0157 - Light came on after oil change and emissions test. Just a coincidence?

I had an oil change and emissions test at a JiffyLube location in Utah last night. As I was driving home the check engine light came on. I returned to the service station today, and the diagnostic test showed a P0157 code. The manager didn't want to take responsibility for anything saying it was simply a coincidence.

Is he right, or is there any way the sensor could have been affected by the emissions testing?

P0157 Oxygen circuit low voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

With this code the ECM sees that the 02 was lower than expected, so it  would be a coincidence. Think of this as a light bulb in a house , some last longer than other irregardless of use and wattage. When a condition is circuit low this more likely the sensor , P0157 is a output voltage of the 02 heater  , after time and mileage component and sensor do degrade.
