P0116 VOLKSWAGEN - Is it bad to drive when this code is on?

My engine light is on in my 2001 and I got the code of P0116. Is it bad to drive my car with this problem

This code is for the engine coolant temp sensor. You can drive the car with this code and not do any damage. You may see an increase in the amount of fuel you use and it may start hard with this problem.
