Question

will this cause car to shut down at stops and or rough idle at times. seems mainly after car has been filled with fuel.

Hi there,

This code is basically a catch all code. It means there is a problem with the evap system, but the computer doesn't know which part has the problem. Based on the symptoms, it sounds like it's possible the purge control valve is stuck open. This would cause a hard start after putting fuel in the car. The vapors would be allowed to travel into the intake manifold basically flooding the car. The purge control valve is under the engine. You could try disconnection the evap line and see if the issue continues.
