P0744 Nissan - Rogue2009

Question

The code in my question is what my mechanic is telling me came up when he plugged the machine in. I would like to know if the "Torque Converter Clutch" is part of the transmission? Before I knew the code, my husband called Nissan and they said if it is the transmission and the car is under 120,000 miles which it is it is only 112,700 it would be covered under warranty. So again my question is, is that part of the transmission?

P0744 is for the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (locked-up)

I suggest you take to the dealer ASAP before the extended warranty runs out, the dealer might replace the whole transmission, I've read some with over a few hundred miles over the warranty period got denied coverage

if you are not covered by warranty the repair could be around $4k
