The sensor on the side of the transmission in the front passenger side drives the speedometer. If you have a code, it is sometimes the speedometer itself and it's best to have the car hooked to a scan tool.If the speedo is actually working, but you have the code, then the speedo is the problem and you will have to replace the speeedometer in the instrument cluster.
