Question

Car won't crank battery ok, only have 1 key with chips. Sometimes will start when bypassing the starter . Also will start manually from the switch located on the lower steering column. Relays click an are ok when without power were checked for continuity. When I turn the key to on dash light will not glow and battery light stays on.
Only battery light goes off manually from the switch of the lower steering column. Thanks for your dispossition to help..

P1400 DPF - EGR sensor circuit low voltage detected

Sounds like you have a bad igntiion switch , The reason is it starts sometimes when by passed, the ignition may be bad , You can replace the ignition and have the new ignition re keyed to the old key.
