HI there,

It can cause a no start. If the computer doesn't know the timing it won't turn on the fuel and spark. If you had a code for the crank sensor and still have a code for the cam sensor, it's also possible the timing is mechanically off and causing the no start as well. If you replace the cam sensor and it still won't start, I suggest a compression test. if its low it would indicate the timing being off.
