1100, manufacturer controlled fuel and air metering

when getting emissions on 1998 subaru outback wagon. this is the diagnostic trouble code that came up when the car failed. 1100, Manufacturer Controlled Fuel and Air Metering.

HI there,

This code is actually for the starter switch circuit. This code can appear with the automatic transmission if the inhibitor switch on the transmission has had a problem and there isn't any voltage getting to the starter. Even if its happened a while ago the code would be stored. This is not an air/fuel metering code on Subaru.
