2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2.4L with engine code P0171, can an Intake system by the cause of this code?

Hi there

It can cause issues if there is more air then normal coming into the engine. It will produce the lean mixture and code. This could also be the affect of the mass air flow sensor, if it's damaged or if the engine computer isn't calibrated for the new intake it can cause this as well.
