Harness and solenoid replacement concern?

I just had the solenoid assembly kit replaced by the dealer on my hyundai elantra 2007. It has 100,000 miles. After a week of running well, the sympoms reoccurred. . . .the vehicle bucking and slow to accelerate and the check engine light returned. The dealer told me that the same code appeared and that the solenoid needed to be repalced again. Only this time the also the harness (es) needed replacing as they had burnt out. My question, is this typical of this vehicle and should I be responsible for covering the cost of the harness replacemet?
