I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE R Spec V. Having some issues with my emissions system. 50% of the time the car is running it will idle up for about two seconds and down for about two seconds. It happens in cycles and I did notice that whenever the radiator fan starts the funny idling stops immediately. It does register as a P0444 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open. Where is that? And can I just replace that valve and be done with it, or could it be other pieces that are involved in the emissions system that could flag that code?
Check for broken or cracked hoses if none is found most likely the valve is stuck or bad.

The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the ECM. The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapor that will flow through the valve.
