I have the code P0446 on my 2007 GMC Sierra 5.3L, what is the meaning?

Hi there,

This code is set when there is a faulty purge control solenoid or an issue with a blockage in the purge line. Most often the canister will begin to break down and charcoal will enter the purge line. When this happens it will be plugged off and the computer won't detect a voltage change in the pressure, this will cause the code to come up.
