My check engine light is on and car jerks and shifts hatrd

In 2008 there was no 1.8 liter, Nissan Sentra 2.0 or 2.5

if the transmission is shifting hard that is not good at all, the fluid will need to be drained in a clean container and checked for metal shavings or metal pieces if so the transmission will be bad and needs to be replaced 

 

if you car is a 2008 you might be under Nissan extended warranty for the CVT issues 10 years/120,000 miles
