2007 corvette code po449 keeps the engine light on. What should i try first?

P0449 Evaporative emission (EVAP) vent solenoid cotrol circuit

For this condition to occur there is 3 possible condition that are happening , the vent control circuit has a open circuit or a grounded circuit, or possible there is a high resistance.which ever the 3 condition the vent is not turning on, start with the vent solenoid, this will save more time than just testing the solenoid.
