P1311 1997 Toyota Camry 2.2 with Federal emissions only.

Question

Code is for an A/R sensor fault. This sensor only comes on vehicles equipped to meet California emission standards. My vehicle is displaying this code even though is equipped to Federal standards only. I verified this by both the door label and the physical location of the B1S1 sensor. Have replaced the sensor and same code keeps coming back.

P1311 Ignitor circuit malfunction

P1311 is for a ignitor malfunction , what you looking for is for P1133 this is for the A / F (airflow) sensor circuit response, there is a TSB about tis condition TSB # EG009 - 99 and EG004-01
