P0300 GMC -

Question

Have a 2003 envoy 4.2 6 cylinder that had a flashing check engine light on the drive home for out of town.The light would flash them stop throughout drive Also cruise control stopped working Got car home have the code p0300 still but no flashing light and cruise control now works. What do I need to look at to correct problem

P0300 Random misfire

A misfire is a catalyst damaging condition, to warn you the CK ENG LT will flash. It also disables (on some vehicles) the crauise control and A/C unit. what you need to look for are ignition coils that are more likely the cause of this condition.and if the sparkplug are due for a tune now would be the best time.
