what if i dont replace the switch

what kind of effect will this have on my truck if i dont replace the brake switch and just leave it for awhile, also when i bought the truck the neutral safety switch had been removed, could that have anything to do with the p0719 code

are your brake light coming on? does the car shifter lever work fine? 

the part is really easy to replace 

P0719 is for the brake switch
