2001 Chevrolet Malibu LS with a P0113

Question

I have a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu LS with a P0113 engine code. After erasing and just before the light comes back on the transmission shifts very hard and the idle speed goes higher after that. I have replaced the IAT sensor and the air filter. Now I am at a loss what to do to correct this problem?

there is a service bulletin that says replace the pig-tail short connector
