2009 Saab 95 1.9TiD with engine code P1125

Question

Hi, the OBDii code "P1125 P" came up with the engine check light today, after I noticed the RPM on idle which is usually around 850rpm, sitting at 1100rpm approx. Googled for Throttle Position Indicator etc. But, a few minutes later, the battery warning light also came on and the revs sitting high on idle still(1100rpm).

Saab garage over the phone said it is either the TPI at the accelerator pedal, OR the throttle body itself.... Then when I called them back to add that the battery warning light had come on too, they think it's the alternator on it's own. Please help.

Saab 95 2006 1.9TiD 16v multijet Diesel (the Fiat engine) 150bhp.

If the battery warning light has come on, the charging system need to be check first, they are right
